Goa.. Where Nature Dwells Briskly!!

Recently I have been to Goa. It was not the season to be there, however had heard the hype made, Goa is always happening, hence went with lots of hopes for a change. No doubt that liquor is cheap in Goa, besides that one more thing is in abundance, that is NATURE. You too can experience this if you choose to ramble around on a bike. The beaches are awesome and most importantly maintained properly and scavenged of any unwanted material. Every beach has lifeguards made available and even waste or garbage clearing vehicles. Some beaches like Baga beach have beach benches, Calangute beach has all the water sports facility, Candolim beach and Dona Paula (Now AKA -Singham Beach) are the most romantic places to be at when in Goa at the dusk. There are many more beaches in Goa to be mentioned here. These beaches will make you forget every fuss of yours if you visit them at the time of sunrise and will make you remember every crush of yours if you visit at the time of dusk ;-).

One will easily fall in love with Goa only if he or she preterm-it the hype about Goa being the place only for drinking alcohol and smoking weed to such an extent that we become conscienceless. Rather I would suggest be in senses and enjoy the beauty of nature that dwells in Goa. According to me three bottles of beer in a day would be suitable. For stays you can choose any guest house or any hotel that you would like. Since I visited Goa during off season, the hotel rents were quite economical. My friends and I had rented a Guest house named Joe and Marritta guest house in Calangute for three days. However when I inquired about the rates during December and January then I came to know that Goa is quite expensive during these months.

One more thing that made me felicitous in Goa was churches. If you are planning for Goa you need to stay there for five days and per day you need to plan is - 1 beach in the morning, 1 beach in the evening and throughout the day ramble around randomly visiting churches or any random places that attracts you. That's why I have mentioned at the beginning, bike or a car would be best option for transport. Out of the churches that we visited church of our lady of Immaculate was the one which I liked the most.

Church of our lady of Immaculate
Opposite to St. Xaviers Church there is a small place for shopping things like cups for tea, coffee mugs, beer mugs etc. Its a nice place to shop such things.

Further, about the night life, if you are willing to spend a lot of money then night clubs like Tittoos, Curlies would be good options. If you are a billionaire or millionaire then you will get many casinos in Goa near the Panjim city entrance. The best part I liked about Panjim city was the Portuguese looks of most of the buildings and the water body exactly at the middle of the city. Even cruise ships are available in Panjim.

There are many other night clubs which are sea facing. No doubt they are awesome however not much happening. The club I went to had a seating arrangement indoor and outdoor as well. Outdoor had a sea facing seating arrangement made. I was tranquil when I sat there, DJ in the club was amateur I think cause he wasn't mixing that well and the worst part was that he was playing whole song. Cover charges for this club were 1000 Rs and 500 Rs were redeemable. I was at the club from almost 8 pm to 12 pm, but there was no party mood. Finally before leaving from there my friends and I decided to set the mood and hence went on the dance floor. Some guys and girls joined us too, however they didn't last on the floor for more than 15 minutes. So let me tell you that night life in Pune or Mumbai is better as compared to Goa. Talking about the Goan food, Fat Fish is the only restaurant which has impressed me in Goa, all the other restaurants like Ritz have disappointed me like anything. I am saying so because when my friends and I had been to Ritz in Panjim. We had ordered king fish curry, Prawns curry and some other fish curry. The three dishes were served to us with same gravy, no variety at all. I tried chicken dishes as well in Goa, after that I can definitely say Pune has much better food taste.
Aguada Fort is also a most beautiful place to visit. The Portuguese touch and open fort near the sea. There is a light house as well near the fort, I would rather insist readers to go to these places. Surely Goa is fun with friends. In my case I extend my special gratitude to Pramod, Prashant, Arun (Alex), Rohit and Mangesh for being with me and for adding such a wonderful experience to my life.

Now there might be disputes about all the above experiences shared. So let me clear that whatever I am sharing are my experiences. You can definitely share your experiences too, so that my opinions about Goa might change. At present my opinion about Goa is - "Goa.. Where Nature Dwells Briskly!!"
